Installation

Select a mounting location that will provide a strong, solid and reliable surface. Avoid weak areas or uneven surfaces. Ensure that when deployed, there is adequate clearance between propellers and other dangerous items.

Place the product in the desired mounting location with the brackets attached and mark the position of the mounting brackets.

Once the brackets have been marked, remove the product and mark each of the mounting brackets two holes.

The telescoping functionality of the product may bind excessively if the mounting brackets are not installed in a parallel fashion. Before drilling any mounting holes, place the product into its proposed location and ensure that its range of motion necessary for deployment and retrieval is not impeded by any boat surface or structure.

Drill a 1/4" hole for each of the marked mounting bracket holes.

The product should be mounted with 1/4" diameter stainless steel bolts. The bolts should have large washers or a backing plate to help to distribute the load incurred when the product is fully deployed.

Tighten the bolts, making sure the mounting brackets are firmly attached to the mounting surface.

Finally, insert the 1/4" bolt through each arm of the unit. Make sure to check and finalize all installations prior to deploying, retrieving, or climbing on the product.

If your mounting surface is unique, please contact us or send a digital picture. We may have some ideas or have solved the same problem for someone else already!

Operation

(Click on any image below to enlarge it.)

To deploy, lift the stair platform off the deck surface. Rotate the stair platform on its mounting brackets until vertical.

Push the stair platform past vertical toward the water and release to let it sink into the water.

The momentum of this action as well as gravity will fully extend the stair platform. Take the stair and place the stud side to the right. Insert the stud into the mounting hole on the Click Slide bracket. Line up the hole in the stair and the Click Slide bracket on the left side of the stair platform. Take the QuickTrieve pin and push it through these holes, securing the stair in place.

The stair platform is now deployed and ready to use.

To retrieve the platform, pull the QuickTrieve handle- the stair pin will release and the stair will align with the QuickTrieve rope.

Continue pulling on the QuickTrieve handle to lift the stair platform out of the water until it is vertical.

Fold the stair platform flat and the Click Slide brackets will fold into their storage position.

Be careful not to place hands or fingers in between the ladder platform and the Click Slide brackets or they may get caught. Lay the stair platform flush on the deck.

Slide the QuickTrieve handle inside the round wire connector to the QuickTrieve pin with the pin parallel to the handle about 1/2 in. from the end of the handle. Turn the QuickTrive pin to the vertical position so it will grasp the QuickTrieve handle. Place the stair on top of the inner tread and align the hole in the left side of the stair with the storage hole in the base of the stair platform. Insert the QuickTrieve pin through the stair into the storage hole.
